The old bridge over Nassau Sound (south end
of Amelia Island) has been converted to a fishing pier after the construction of the new parallel bridge was completed. Parking is on the
ocean side of the road, just north of the bridge, and the fee is $1.00 per person per day. If you have a yearly pass for Florida Parks, just
write your pass number on the envelope at the entrance to the parking lot.

The pier is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is a good spot to catch flounder, whiting, and trout. The Nassau Sound
Bait and Tackle shop, (904) 277-9772, is located on the north end (Amelia Island side) of the fishing pier.
